The Boxx Gallery Holiday Exhibition is a show to thank our wonderful volunteers who create art. The gallery could not exist without them!

This year’s theme was taken from David Byrne’s project by the same name: “Reasons To Be Cheerful.” I had heard David speak at the Virtual Aspen Ideas Festival this past summer. He began the series as a response to the terrible news we read about every day — instead, wanting to tell stories about all the good things that are happening around the world. Check it out, it is very uplifting!

We know this year has been especially difficult. We thank all the artists who submitted work for this show. We hope you enjoy what our gallery has put together to share with you, our loving and generous community.

When we hang the show in the gallery, there will be more examples of each artist’s work. If any of the art sells online, the artists may add a new work if they so choose. The idea is to have a “flowing exhibit” that will be changing and updating both virtually and in the gallery throughout the holiday season.
